Why we invested

The founders

Dominik founded Colossyan in 2020 to make knowledge transfer easy. With a background in AI research, software development and advanced mathematics, Dominik was extraordinarily well placed to take the learnings from Defudger (his first startup focused on identification of deepfakes) and apply this to AI video for workplace learning. Dominik has been recognised by Forbes, being selected to be part of the their 30 under 30 for European Technology 2024; he will lead Colossyan to achieve great things.

The problem

Traditional workforce development solutions that leverage video are slow to produce, high-cost (with actors, studios, film crews, post-production etc) and inaccessible to edit, as once a training video is made, it is set in stone. For large enterprises with global workforces, these costs mount and if they want to change some of the content they have to go through the entire process all over again!

The solution

Colossyan’s AI video platform allows companies to produce editable, studio-quality video materials, in a fraction of the time and for just the cost of a subscription to the platform. With hyper-realistic avatars, users can create more engaging and interactive training in over 80 languages. Colossyan allows users to create custom avatars of themselves in under a minute, which can be used for corporate communications, sales outreach, marketing materials, onboarding training and more traditional learning and development too. Colossyan also has a range of features tailored to education and L&D, such as ‘Doc-to-Video’ that creates videos from existing materials (e.g. PowerPoint) and SCORM exports.
