We’re thrilled to share that Colossyan, the AI text-to-video platform for workplace learning, has raised $22M in a Series A led by Lakestar – and we’re proud to be backing the team again, alongside LAUNCHub Ventures and Day One Capital. Colossyan has been part of the Emerge community since we co-led its $5M round with LAUNCHub just last February. In the 12 months since, founder and CEO Dominik Mate Kovacs and his team grew the platform 600% and signed Porsche, Vodafone and Paramount. Rounds follow numbers like that!
Dominik won us over on the very first call: a young technical founder with startling learning agility, closing enterprise deals himself while competitors were still hiring sales teams – and carrying a story about how education changed his own life that explains the obsession. The first thing we did after investing was open up our network of chief learning officers; it has rarely been put to work so fast.
The product solves a problem every L&D team knows intimately: video is the format employees actually engage with, but it’s also the one that’s slowest and most expensive to produce. With Colossyan, a script becomes a presenter-led video in minutes – avatars, 70+ languages, no cameras, no studios, no reshoots when the policy changes.
Customers report cutting video production cost and time by around 70-80%. But the roadmap goes further: avatar gestures, a rebuilt editor and interactive learning (think quizzes, knowledge checks and branching paths inside the video itself).
“A year ago we doubled down on Dominik’s team because they ship faster than anyone else in this category and listen to their customers even faster. Corporate training is becoming a video-first medium, and Colossyan is handing every company its own studio; Paramount replaced ten hours a month of security walkthrough meetings with Colossyan videos. We backed Dominik when he was closing enterprise deals before he’d hired a salesperson, and we’d back that instinct every time.”
Mario, Emerge
The funding will expand the product, customer success and community teams as interactive learning takes centre stage.
Congratulations, Dominik and team. Lights, camera, learn!
